We specialize in serving the Beverage, Spirits, Personal Care, and Household markets with pressure sensitive labels and shrink sleeves, in various materials, including papers, films, metallics and foils.

Tara is the CEO and sole fourth-generation owner of Steinhauser, a greater Cincinnati premium supplier of printed labels and shrink sleeves for CPGs. She has led the company through a total restructuring and rebranding, taking Steinhauser from one customer to close to one hundred. At the start of 2022, Tara made another multi-million-dollar investment in a new flexographic printing press to support their incredible growth. Under her leadership the company has doubled in revenue since 2019.

Ashley has her BS in Biology and is a Certified Manager of Quality and Organizational Excellence. With 12+ years of experience, Ashley has been formally trained in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Currently, Ashley is overseeing our Quality department while driving the site-wide initiative for Audit preparedness.

Rod has 34 years of professional experience in the Printing Industry. He has a BS in Industrial Management and Graduate Degrees in Business (MBA) and Quality Assurance (MS). He holds professional credentials from ASQ as a Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), and Certified HACCP Auditor (CHA). In addition to leading the Steinhauser Operations Team, he is also Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt and is currently the champion of our CI program.

She is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication, and a graduate of The Philadelphia Institute, receiving a paralegal certificate from The Institute of Employee Benefit. Erin Dickman
Erin is responsible for driving sales growth with unique solutions for our customers, as well as leading our Sales and Marketing team. With 10 years of Sales and Marketing experience at Steinhauser, Erin is devoted to the company, our customers, and the printing industry. She is a graduate of Syracuse University where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Design and went on to gain 10 years of experience in design and art direction.

Job Description:
  • Review and process all new digital artwork; manipulate all current / existing artwork to reflect customer changes.
  • Review artwork for digital jobs to ensure all elements of the job are accurate for creating custom label.
  • Communicate effectively with Project Manager when art issue arises.
  • Prepare and send files to the HP Indigo (Rip).
  • Provide direct support to ensure color targets are met.
  • Generates, maintains and updates workflows, color strategies, color profiles, and processes to streamline digital prepress production.
  • Determines colors and color strategies required on a project-by-project basis to meet customer requirements using color management and ICC profiling.
  • Manipulate digital files if changes are necessary to meet target.
  • Maintain organization of archives ripped files from completed jobs. Responsible for maintaining and archiving all digital prepress files.

Seamer / Slitter Operator – 2nd Shift or 3rd Shift
FULL-TIME
Job Description:
  • Ensure the seamer area is a safe working environment and all necessary precautions are taken throughout a shift.
  • Responsible for reviewing all information on job ticket and preparing work area, seamer, and materials as necessary. Solely responsible for lay flat, seam location.
  • Double check all pertinent information on job ticket for accuracy including amount of material allocated, lay flat, seam location, print orientation. Immediately notifies supervisor if any discrepancies are found.
  • Install and adjust the seaming table & tools, load printed substrate and unload formed sleeves.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork for a run and confirm that product is within tolerance for the establish standard.
  • Strictly adheres to all quality assurance procedures and QC pulls.
  • Inspect and remove all defects, properly slicing the roll.
  • Responsible for insuring only materials specified on Bill of Materials are used in allocated quantities. Should additional material beyond what is specified on the BOM be necessary, operator must secure authorization from supervisor.
  • Performs line clearance per documented procedures at the end of EVERY production run.
  • Ensures all required paperwork is complete and placed in job ticket before moving on to next job.
  • Ensures all rolls that have been run are properly identified by appropriate crew identification.
  • Responsible for all preventative maintenance such as lubrication, cleaning and adjustments to rollers or other small parts. Performs other tasks as necessary.
  • Must request scheduled downtime and parts/materials when applicable.
  • Maintain a clean working environment (wipe seamer of contaminates, keep tables straightened, clean spills as they happen, etc.)

Duties

Accounts Payable
  • Accumulate all vendor invoices through physical or email means; maintain A/P files
  • Match invoices with both purchase order and receipts
  • Ensure proper G/L coding
  • Continuously review allocations and coding to ensure correctness
  • Ensure that all purchase orders have accurate G/L code; educate employees on G/L coding
  • Enter payables into Label Traxx system
  • Prepare AP accrual at end of the month
  • Maintain and manage proper document destruction program

Duties and Responsibliites
  • Operate press to produce high-quality labels .
  • Maintain quality of finished products.
  • Ensure safe and clean work environment.
  • Maintain accurate time and material records in company management system..
  • Utilize job ticket and press helper to setup and run as efficiently as possible.
  • Solely responsible for print and die registration.
  • Use the press vision system effectively to ensure Quality issues are promptly addressed.
  • Maintain accuracy on job ticket instructions; asks questions when unclear, and maintain meticulous record keeping throughout process, as directed.
  • Participates in waste reduction process by closely managing material.
  • Participates in continuous improvement activities as required.
  • Preventative machine maintenance as needed.
  • Option to train in other areas of production to be a back-up option for peers, as needed.

Job Description:
Duties and Responsibliites
  • Move rolls from stock to production area.
  • Assist with wrapping skids and preparing shipments.
  • Assist with distributing or unpacking materials, supplies.
  • Assist with loading and unloading delivery trucks.
  • Collect and empty all trash and recycling on an as needed basis.
  • Maintain Rumpke dumpsters; rolling them in and outside the building.
  • Collect escaped scrap and maintain cleanliness in the compactor room.
  • Collect boxes of tickets or other items that can be filed in the upstairs storage area.
  • Deliver finished orders, materials, packages, etc. when needed.
  • Performs any other duties, as directed by supervisor.
