Job Description:
  • Review and process all new digital artwork; manipulate all current / existing artwork to reflect customer changes.
  • Review artwork for digital jobs to ensure all elements of the job are accurate for creating custom label.
  • Communicate effectively with Project Manager when art issue arises.
  • Prepare and send files to the HP Indigo (Rip).
  • Provide direct support to ensure color targets are met.
  • Generates, maintains and updates workflows, color strategies, color profiles, and processes to streamline digital prepress production.
  • Determines colors and color strategies required on a project-by-project basis to meet customer requirements using color management and ICC profiling.
  • Manipulate digital files if changes are necessary to meet target.
  • Maintain organization of archives ripped files from completed jobs. Responsible for maintaining and archiving all digital prepress files.
  • Maintain and update file folders with job specific notes for future reference, if needed.
  • Makes recommendation for improvements and encouraging continuous improvement.

Seamer / Slitter Operator – 2nd Shift or 3rd Shift

Job Description:
  • Ensure the seamer area is a safe working environment and all necessary precautions are taken throughout a shift.
  • Responsible for reviewing all information on job ticket and preparing work area, seamer, and materials as necessary. Solely responsible for lay flat, seam location.
  • Double check all pertinent information on job ticket for accuracy including amount of material allocated, lay flat, seam location, print orientation. Immediately notifies supervisor if any discrepancies are found.
  • Install and adjust the seaming table & tools, load printed substrate and unload formed sleeves.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork for a run and confirm that product is within tolerance for the establish standard.
  • Strictly adheres to all quality assurance procedures and QC pulls.
  • Inspect and remove all defects, properly slicing the roll.
  • Responsible for insuring only materials specified on Bill of Materials are used in allocated quantities. Should additional material beyond what is specified on the BOM be necessary, operator must secure authorization from supervisor.
  • Performs line clearance per documented procedures at the end of EVERY production run.
  • Ensures all required paperwork is complete and placed in job ticket before moving on to next job.
  • Ensures all rolls that have been run are properly identified by appropriate crew identification.
  • Responsible for all preventative maintenance such as lubrication, cleaning and adjustments to rollers or other small parts. Performs other tasks as necessary.
  • Must request scheduled downtime and parts/materials when applicable.
  • Maintain a clean working environment (wipe seamer of contaminates, keep tables straightened, clean spills as they happen, etc.)

  • Enter all billing information into Label Traxx system and create and post customer invoices; enter required information into applicable customer portals and monitor payment cycle
  • Mail/email invoices to customer; proper filing of invoices

Duties

Accounts Payable
  • Accumulate all vendor invoices through physical or email means; maintain A/P files
  • Match invoices with both purchase order and receipts
  • Ensure proper G/L coding
  • Continuously review allocations and coding to ensure correctness
  • Ensure that all purchase orders have accurate G/L code; educate employees on G/L coding

  • Discuss each week with the salesperson any past due accounts and arrive at a mutually agreeable course of action
  • Salesperson should be kept informed on the outcome of the collection plan

  • Use the press vision system effectively to ensure Quality issues are promptly addressed.
  • Maintain accuracy on job ticket instructions; asks questions when unclear, and maintain meticulous record keeping throughout process, as directed.

  • Serve as lead contact within assigned accounts, working to improve communication, build and strengthen customer relationships.

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the flexographic and digital workflows and processes to ensure that customer service is maintained at a high level.

  • Responsible for onboarding new business; conducting new business pre-production meetings to review all information pertaining to new jobs, to ensure flawless production while onboarding new customers, utilizing guidance from the Customer Service Supervisor, as needed.

  • Manage and facilitate flow of customer orders from purchase order to shipment to billing.

  • Receive purchase orders from customer and/or Account Executive; confirm order meets recommended minimum quantities, and current products, part numbers, information, and pricing is accurate. Orders that do not meet these qualifications require approval from management prior to processing.

  • Review order, compare to estimate, and translate job specifications into clear, concise, and accurate instructions to be entered into production management software to generate production job ticket.

  • Monitor progress of orders by attending scheduling meetings, adapt and discuss schedule changes and/or challenges as they arise, and follow each job through all aspects of production to delivery of product.

  • Communicate with the customer, Account Executive, and other internal team members any quality concerns, production schedule changes, or other potential scenarios that could have an impact on the customer experience, utilizing the experience of the Customer Service Rep. II or the Customer Service Supervisor, as needed.

  • Collect samples from each job and deliver to the customer, when necessary.

  • Maintain standards for jobs, as determined by the needs of the assigned account.

  • Coordinate the press check meeting (e.g., send calendar invites to customer/appropriate internal team members, conference room reserved); participate to understand customer’s needs and expectations of the job.

  • Ensure all customer and project information in LabelTraxx is accurate.

  • Prepare jobs for billing; figure cost and give to Account Executive for final approval before processing by accounting.

  • Recognize and identify potential process improvements to improve company profitability and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
